Animal Well-Being |

Animals are a part of the oneness of life. Not only is the canary in the
mine an apt metaphor but so are all animals, as they mirror and magnify our
environment. To the animals, the energy patterns that surround and flow
through all matter is normal. Animals are very aware of this energy as a
part of their survival. |

Horse Wisdom Indigenous societies were aware of phenomena in nature that accessed other dimensions or other realities. For aborigines, this was the Dreamtime; for Native Americans, this was the trance dance; for the Dagara of Africa, this was the Otherworld. What all this means is that there are other forces at play which are dimensional in nature that animals are aware of. That is why they know earthquakes are coming before they begin, or why dogs know their owner is about to have an epileptic fit before instruments even pick up anything, or why cats know their owners are about to come home before the car even turns the corner. Quantum phenomena can be a form of energy transference in nature. Using the power of intention (described by Carlos Castaneda), an animal’s awareness can be altered and an animal’s well-being balanced. Private sessions for you or your animal can be scheduled with Cheryl. |

The Hoof When one of our horses shows signs of lameness, we first think of a hoof or leg problem. But what if the symptoms of a hoof problem are other than lameness. Does your horse exhibit one of the following?: - resists having its foot picket up? - has a short stride, giving a bumpy ride? - irritable when asked to move under saddle? - resists being led with the head going up and the neck tightening? - appears worried, in pain, or under stress? - has an odor associated with the hoof when trimmed? Become educated on the symptoms of a dysfunctional hoof and the associated care. The therapeutic-grade essential oil, Purification, when applied to a smelly hoof, will bring the tissue into balance. Visit the website www.aanhcp.org (the American Association of Natural Hoof Care Practitioners) or go to the www.hoofrehab.com website. Learn why the wild mustangs have such healthy hooves in their natural environment. Just because you choose not to shoe your horse does not mean its hooves are healthy. As goes the hoof so goes the horse. Consult Cheryl for a Young Living Essential Oil blend for your horse’s hooves. Lameness Resolution of lameness can be one of the most confounding problems facing your horse. You may find yourself going months to the vets only to find the problem either re-occurring or persisting. In situations like this, it’s time to look at alternatives. What Cheryl likes to is check for hot spots on the animal, also checking the animal’s spine. She has developed an entire regimen similar to that used in equine acupressure and acupuncture to bring the “chi” or the life force of the animal back into balance. The results can be amazing as you'll read in client testimonials. Testimonial: Bingo (a quarter horse mare) was struck by a rattlesnake in 2000 and treated traditionally. Besides losing her fetus, recovery proved terribly slow. In the fall of 2005 she became lame in all four quarters. the vet could only treat her with pain killers, saying it might take 6 months for her to “recover,” if she recovered. Upon consulting Cheryl, lameness was gone within a month. Bingo was happy to turned out to pasture with the other mares. Colic Colic is deadly. Immediate attention is almost always needed. while waiting for the vet to arrive, Cheryl suggests a regimen that can help with immediate relief using essential oils. She has found that horses respond wonderfully to this technique in more ways than one. E-mail Cheryl for information on creating a colic first-aid kit, or ask her to send you a kit. Symptoms of colic are usually associated with digestive issues that may be caused by stress from your horse’s surroundings. After the vet arrives, and once the horse is recovering, call Cheryl for a consultation as to what led to the stress, and eliminate the cause, thus creating a healthy future for your horse. Breeding and Mating You have spent time and expense to take your mare to the stud for breeding. But when your mare is tested with ultra-sound, she is empty. You have just wasted your resources and missed the mare’s cycle. What could you have done differently? Consult with Cheryl as to what state of balance your mare is in. Identify the root cause and correct it. There are many plausible reasons your mare did not get or stay pregnant. Was it a physical condition that kept her from impregnating? Or was she holding on to an emotional pattern from past experiences. Maybe the stud was the issue. These are all options to explore when you consult with Cheryl. #1 Testimonial: “We had two choices of studs to breed our mares to. Both studs had the color and breeding but we wanted to make the right choice for each mare. We consulted with Cheryl and she advised us to breed all the mares to one of our studs. As a result, we sold the second stud, and our foal crop was healthy and colorful with sound bone and muscle.” #2 Testimonial: “Two years ago we pasture-bred our mares as usual and had them preg-checked. All were with foal. About 9 months into her cycle, Scotch began acting funny, very emotional. We didn’t think much about it. The next spring, as we were anticipating Scotch’s delivery, we walked her near our stud. It could have been a costly mistake. She was not pregnant but was in heat, and a barbed-wire fence is no deterrent to this emotion. Scotch had actually ‘lost’ her foal during the winter. We consulted with Cheryl to learn the reason why, and corrected it with three sessions. The next year Scotch foaled a beautiful colt named ‘Walker.’ ” Foaling Your mare has just foaled and you sense something is just not quite right about the foal. Consult with Cheryl as to a natural, non-invasive technique to bring the foal into balance for top performance. Another foaling technique is to customize a raindrop therapy for your mare after she has foaled. Balance her energy with this simple technique. Your mare will feel the alignment throughout her body and have more energy to care for her foal. Testimonial: “Bunny had given a normal birth to her foal but the foal just seemed to lack energy. We were worried. Cheryl checked the foal’s energy and we put essential oils on her head and spine. The very next day, the foal was feeling very frisky and never lacked energy again. Bunny acted neglected, so we treated her also. Both animals were in a very bright eyed, balance state.” West Nile virus [see the front-page article on Cheryl and her work with this virus] COMPLEMENTARY HEALING is the first key for your animal during this illness. A team of professionals may help to shorten the duration and lessen the effects of the illness. First work with your animal’s veterinarian and, if possible, locate a veterinarian in your area that is a member of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association [ www.holisticvetlist.com ]. A holistic veterinarian will understand the holistic protocol to treat disease. You can support both your vet’s work and your animal by using Young Living pure therapeutic-grade essential oils (YLEO) topically. YLEO are one of the most powerful complimentary products on the market for you to use during times of illness or injury. As you apply YLEO to the spine and the head, you will notice your animal’s discomfort lessening and the eyes brightening. Consult with Cheryl for your animal’s individual needs during any time of stress. PREVENTION is the second key. And this can be attained by establishing a strong immune system. An affordable easy technique to use for your animals or yourself, is the Raindrop Technique or Raindrop Therapy (RT). An added benefit of the RT ... the biting insects, which carry many diseases, will be discouraged by the smell of the oils in the same way a citronella candle works. The third key is KNOWLEDGE. Homeopathic veterinarians and other holistic practitioners have maintained for years that vaccinations are doing harm. Aside from the immediate risk of vaccination side-effects, such as allergic reactions and anaphylactic shock, there are more compelling reasons to avoid vaccinations whenever possible [ www.charlesloopsdvm.com ]. Vaccinating against one infection sets up a risk factor to contracting another type of infection. Vaccines also contain materials that are toxic to your animal’s system. Before you vaccinate, have the veterinarian check whether your animal is still carrying titers from the last vaccination. Nosodes are homeopathic remedies that are made from the specific products of a particular disease. Some nosodes seem to work more effectively than others. None produce titers against disease like a vaccination, so they are not vaccine replacements. They do seem to moderate a disease condition if the animal is exposed, even if they don’t prevent it. Homeopathic nosodes are another option for guardians who wish to avoid vaccinations [ www.charlesloopsdvm.com ]. Testimonial: “It is now three years after Malt, our then young bay gelding was featured in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, having just recovered from West Nile Virus. The following summer after the disease, he appeared sound, even completing Level 1 of his Parelli training. However, every few months, his energy lags or he doesn’t seem able to process his environment. Cheryl checked his energy and found another layer of the illness to release. In September of 2005, a layer around his pole and inner ear released. Through the use of Rainbow Technique, Cheryl was able to pinpoint the exact oil to apply for the release.” West Nile virus can affect many different parts of our systems. A horse will release what no longer serves it and will do this in it’s own time frame. Training A young quarter-horse named Thirty-Eight was very reactive to most stimuli most of the time. The problem was that his owner never knew when Thirty-Eighty would react or how much. Sometimes, when approached, he would act as if it were no big deal. The next time he would end up on top of the barn. This reaction made him very dangerous to be around. No amount of training could change how Thirty-Eight perceived information in his environment. Cheryl customized a treatment of therapeutic-grade essential oils for the young gelding, along with other vibrational tools. Gradually Thirty-Eight relaxed and started to perceive and process the information he was receiving from his environment. After just 2 months, the training began to take hold and now Thirty-Eight is comfortable in his surroundings. |

Rice Paper Remedies There exist different forms of delivering energy-based remedies such as homeopathy, essences, oils, and herbs. Many of these forms are inconvenient and tricky to use on animals. The delivery is often compromised thus weakening the effect. Rice paper remedies are a simple, effective, convenient form of delivering energy that can help your animals come into balance. Testimonial: No matter how small the homeopathic bead (pill), when I put it into my cat’s mouth, it would immediately be spit out. Totally ineffective. When I found rice paper remedies, I could easily slip them into my cat’s mouth, thus speeding up the recovery time. No mess, no fuss, just quick results. |

Energy Balancing Your animal just doesn’t seem right. There is no obvious symptom, but you can tell something is “off.” Or there is a very obvious symptom and no one can tell you what is wrong and you tried everything for your animal. Don’t you wish they could talk? Animals can be thrown out of balance by very simple factors. They will also come into balance quite easily when you remove what is really bothering them. With the Energy Balancing Technique you will learn the root cause of their imbalance. If pertinent, all levels of their environment will be assessed. Once the source of the imbalance is identified, we can access different techniques to bring the systems into balance physically and energetically. Muscle Testing is a tool of this Energy Assessment. Testimonial: Our black lab began scratching under her legs and it became worse and worse. Then she added the ears to her scratching routine. We gave her allergy shots and kept her off the grass lawn but nothing worked. By assessing her energy patterns, we discovered she had a general yeast infection. By feeding MSM orally to her, she soon was her old lazy self. Muscle Testing Muscle testing is a form of kinesiology, i.e. dowsing, using a pendulum, witching, or divining. Our muscles seem to detect energy with built-in sensors that are no more mysterious than seeing, hearing, or feeling. This is a natural process if we learn the rules or the protocols for asking the questions and getting accurate answers. Example: I muscle test which supplements are of the highest good for me to take each day. I can do the same for my dogs or my horses. If they are showing signs of stress, I am able to use muscle testing to detect the source of the stress. If I’m not sure how to deal with the source of the stress, I can use muscle testing to see what technique I have at my disposal that will work the best for my animals. Testimonial: Saddling my horse Mac had never been a problem until I bought a new saddle blanket. Mac reared back as I placed the blanket on his back. Through muscle testing I discovered Mac did not have a bad attitude, nor was he objecting to being saddled. Mac did not like the color red, the color of his new saddle blanket. Dog Whisperer ... Cat Whisperer Animals are connected to us in the web of life. Many work with us to try and help us with our health or with our issues. The trick is being able to listen to them, to listen to the whispers of their hearts. #1 Testimonial: Noah (male Schnauzer) was displaying outrageous problems in an attempt to tell Cheryl about her own physical symptoms. Noah's problems stopped as soon as Cheryl eliminated the cause of her own symptoms. #2 Testimonial: “Brutus ‘Chunk of Love’ (male cat) had been dealing with a severely ulcerated cornea for 2-1/2 months due to a herpes flare-up. After numerous doctors' visits, a variety of medications, and a corneal polishing procedure, we still didn't see any healing. At this point I consulted with Cheryl to uncover the mystery of Brutus. Cheryl did a full session on Brutus and said the results should manifest in the physical body in three days. Well, like clockwork, on the third day we saw things change. Within a few days, the eye went from being 80% covered with sequestrum (product of the herpes virus) down to less than 50%. Now we could see how deep this corneal ulceration really was, and new blood vessels were growing rapidly to heal the underlying cornea, just as the ophthalmologist had hoped. We continue to see daily progress and are thrilled with the results.” |
